Chapter 7
Export and Import
7.1 Introduction
The Rhino SLEE provides administrators and programmers with the ability to export the current deployment and configuration
state to a set of human-readable text files, and to later import that export image into either the same or another Rhino SLEE
instance. This is useful for:
• Backing up the state of the SLEE.
• Migrating the state of one Rhino SLEE to another Rhino SLEE instance.
• Migrating SLEE state between different versions of the Rhino SLEE.
An export image records the following state from the SLEE:
• All deployable units.
• All Profile tables.
• All Profiles.
• All Resource adaptor entities.
• Configured trace level for all components.
• Current state of all services and resource adaptor entities.
• Runtime configuration.
