The Profile MBean can be in two modes: viewing or editing. The operations available on the profile give some hint as to which
mode that profile is in. If you leave the Web Console without committing your changes, the profile will remain in “editing”
mode and you will see a long-running transaction in the Rhino logs.
Profiles which are still in the “editing” mode can be returned to by navigating from the main page to the “Profile MBeans” link
under the “SLEE Profiles” category.
To change the value of an attribute, first make the profile writable. A new profile will be created in the
writable
and
dirty
state and placed in the
editProfile
mode, either
commitProfile
or
restoreProfile
before finally
closeProfile
.
Change the value of one or more attributes by editing their value fields. The web interface will correctly parse values for Java
primitive types and Strings, and arrays of primitive types and Strings.
